Young man adopts dog with cancer to give him a home in his last days

A dog with cancer needed a family. The dog had a deformity in the head, which were his tumors. But that was not an impediment for Luciano Karosas, 21, to adopt the dog.

Before reaching his new owner, he went through four families that rejected him because of his illness. The cancer spread to his head, before reaching the arms of Luciano in Berazategui, Argentina.

But a woman named Griselda, a good Samaritan woman, rescued him to find someone who really wanted him, to take care of him and “give him all the love” during his last days.

The hardest thing for his new tutor was to process the news from the vet. They told him that the dog had 40 days of life left.

“I found it difficult to accept how little time we had together. I took him to a veterinarian who works with stem cells to see what we could do, looking for a little more hope (which had given him 40 days of life) and told me that there is no treatment that can extend his time. I came out with a piece of my heart in my hands, “he said.

His new owner decided he would make those few days awesome for the dog

“All I want is to try and give him some love before he leaves,” he says. The dog has lived with him for more than two weeks and he plays like any other dog. And they see you happier than ever.

The smiling young man who seeks to prolong the life of his dog decided to use medicinal plant oil as part of a treatment that made him feel better. Seeing some recovery of his pet gave Luciano new hope.

Luciando publishes images in his Instagram account of his life with the dog he now decided to call Thanos. “There’s still” Thanos “for quite a while,” Karosas says.
