Amid the fires raging in eastern Australia, there’s another dramatic video that has gone viral on social networks. In the images, we can see a woman entering a burning forest to save a koala.
According to NBC News, the animal was spotted crossing a road through the flames of New South Wales on Tuesday, 19th November. Soon an unidentified woman ran to the koala’s aid, wrapping it in her shirt and then pouring water over it to relieve the burns.
The animal was given to health services so they could take care of him. The following video contains sensitive content:
Forest fires in Australia began after a dry season and high temperatures.
It is estimated that three people and more than 500 koalas lost their lives among the 575,000 hectares set on fire.
