Dog was locked in a cage and thrown into the river for upcoming film

A German Shepherd who participated in a film has been spoken around the world for the worst possible reason. In the Crazy Alien recordings, an anonymous member of the team captured a video, which shows the dog being turned violently in the air, inside a metal box. Then the poor animal is thrown into an icy river for almost 10 seconds.

The footage was captured in November 2017, but was released only last week, bothering animal advocates… Some even call for a boycott of the film!

“The director took lots of takes and that was horrible to witness as the torment continued.”, one team member wrote in a report to PETA. “The scene was allegedly repeated several times over two hours.”, said the informant.

Morrison, who wasn’t present while the dog was being used for the scene, expressed his indignation on Twitter: “My heart is broken to see any animal treated this way.”, Morrison said. “Had I been on set or known about this, I would have made all efforts to stop this. I’ve called the producers to express my outrage.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that animals used in movies face abuse…

Earlier this year, one of Hollywood’s most popular animal trainers, Sidney Yost, had his license revoked due to various breaches of animal welfare. He regularly kicked the animals and kept them in dirty enclosures.

By 2015, behind-the-scenes footage showed a trainer who worked on “Life of Pi” and other great movies violently whipping a shrunken tiger. After major protests from PETA and other animal welfare advocates, the Chinese producer apologized and promised to reform its animal care standards.

“We always strive to treat all cast and crew, human or animal, with the utmost respect, and are deeply troubled by the reports of an animal in distress on our production.”, the company said in a statement. “There is no excuse for any failure to fully account for the welfare of any animal brought into a film, and we will be conducting a full review of our live animal practices and safeguards going forward.”

Hopefully, the responsible for these abusive acts will be severely punished, and similar practices will not be repeated in the future. Share this story if you are against animal abuse!
