No one wants to adopt the silver-eyed girl, until a woman sees a detail in her photo and discovers her true identity

Being a parent doesn’t mean you have to have a biological child… the heart is what really matters when you want to build a family. While some dream about having a baby of their own, others just want to give affection and attention to children who have had no luck in life. The parents of the silver-eyed girl we’ll see next are an example of this.

Primrose was born in China a few years ago, but the girl was not like most other newborns. Her eyes were silver, because she was born completely blind. The girl’s biological parents didn’t know what to do and left their daughter in an orphanage when she was only a few days old.

Love at first sight

Day after day, Primrose hoped a new family would take care of her, but no one wanted her because she was different. Eryn and Chris Austin live in the United States and, until a few years ago, they believed their lives were perfect. With two wonderful children, they could not wish for anything better. But, one day, while Eryn was browsing Facebook, she saw a photo of Primrose.

When she saw the image, the woman knew immediately that she wanted this girl to be her daughter. The process of bringing Primrose home began in January 2016. Finally, she was ready to meet her new family in the United States. After that, the couple shared a video about their experience.

“There’s nothing to fear about blindness,” says the father, Chris, in the video. “There’s nothing to apologize for. When people find out she’s blind, they often say, ‘I’m sorry to hear that,’ and I say, ‘Why?'” “When it comes to adoption, there is something that pulls out the heart strings that is so hard to explain,” says Chris.

“Some people can explain it spiritually, and say that God is telling them that this is their daughter or their child.” Some people will simply feel that they are theirs. We knew from the moment we saw the image of her that she was our daughter.”
