Chuando Tan is a 51-year-old man from Singapore who has attracted the attention of the whole world. The photographer was in the spotlight because, despite being born in 1967, he looks like a 20-year-old! Time doesn’t seem to pass by Tan. The man shocked the media, and some journalists decided to ask what he did not to grow old. Today, we’ll show you the 5 secrets that make him look youthful.
How it all began
In the 1980s, this man from Singapore used to work as a model, and was a pop singer in the 1990s. But his career in music did not last long, which is why Tan chose another activity – photography. After posting some of his photographic works on the internet, he decided to share some pictures of himself, and that’s where it all began.
“I started an Instagram account because some friends told me that clients these days would want to know how big a social media following a photographer had. In order to pepper my account, I posted several photos of myself to share my thoughts in captions.”
Users instantly noticed that Tan did not look like an average 51-year-old. Some people think it’s genetics. Others think the secret is where he lives, because Singapore has clean air, good medicines and high quality products. As for these two factors there is nothing we can do. What we can do is follow to 5 things the photographer does daily, and that are essential against aging.
1. Eat 6 eggs for breakfast
Tan believes that his appearance depends on 70% of the food he eats, and 30% of the exercises he does. That’s why he eats 6 boiled eggs for breakfast with only 2 egg yolks (due to cholesterol). In addition, he drinks a glass of milk, and sometimes adds avocado with fruit to his breakfast. This is a good amount of protein and energy for the beginning of the day.
In addition to eggs, he eats chicken with rice, grilled vegetables and fish soup during the day. The photographer admits that ice cream is his weakness, but he only eats that dessert in the first half of the day. He also avoids coffee and tea, but drinks a lot of water. He does not smoke, does not drink alcohol and eats a salad of fresh vegetables for dinner.
2. 90 minutes of exercise per day
Tan does strength training 4 times a week, or at least 3 times if he is very busy. He spends no more than 30 minutes in this activity. Strength training is always followed by cardio training. However, due to a knee injury, he does not run, but walks at a fast pace on a treadmill. In addition, he tries to swim every day. The man goes to a pool at night and swims for about an hour.
3. Do only what you like to do
It may sound trivial, but how many of us do what we really want to do? Perhaps this is the secret of eternal youth? Because everything you do affects your psychological and therefore the whole body.
“I have tried many different jobs and stopped at what I really like. I love people, love communication, love to set up a photo shoot, and love to take photos. If you do what you don’t like, then you’ll be feeling bad and, of course, it won’t strengthen your health.”
4. Don’t use skin care items
Some people think that Tan did plastic surgeries and uses some special cosmetics. However, he has already denied these claims. “I have sensitive skin, so there are only two things I use daily: face wash gel and moisturizing cream.”
Once, he was presented with a Botox procedure. He tried, but he did not like the effect and he has not done any more since then. However, Tan admits that he paints his hair because of his grays-
5. He does not shower late
In fact, he tries not to go to bed after 11 pm and wakes up early every day. Tan is sure that working at night and watching movies after midnight does not improve health. To sleep well, he stops eating 5-6 hours before going to sleep. “Trust me, going bed early is worth it. Having had enough sleep, you’ll be able to do more things during the day rather than if you work at night.”
