Veterinary technician rescues a small labrador from euthanasia

Dogs are incredible beings and they are all unique in their own way. Often humans despise animals that are born a little “different.” But fortunately, there are always guardian angels around to save their lives. And the story we’ll meet today is a great example of that.

Bronson was one of nine pups born in Caesarean section in a litter. Unfortunately, when his humans noticed that the puppy had a cleft lip, they decided to put him to sleep.

Puppies with cleft lip do not present a high survival rate. The explanation comes from KaffeKalle, the veterinary technician: “Depending on the severity of the cleft, and if it affects the hard or soft palate, puppies usually do not thrive. The space in the roof of their mouth does not allow them to suckle properly, and they eventually die of starvation.”

KaffeKalle fed Bronson with a tube every two hours for a week. After that, she realized that the little dog could survive. So she took the dog to work so she could satisfy his needs.

Bronson began to gain some strength and his mother became more and more in love with him. That’s when something incredible happened: she adopted the puppy permanently!
