Paralysed Rottweiler was dumped after being used for breeding

A Rottweiler named Susanna was found by Isabel Zapata and her friends in a dumping ground in Florida. Susanna was covered in flies and seemed to be delirious from starvation and dehydration.

Isabel noticed that Susanna was completely still, she could not even move her tail. The poor dog just stared with her dark eyes, waiting for the end. Isabel and her friends were not sure of her chances of survival but decided to help her anyway.

Susanna was eventually taken to the Gulfstream Guardian Angels Rottweiler Rescue (GGARR). Upon receiving emergency care at the hospital, rescuers found that Susanna’s paralysis was due to the extreme abuse and neglect from her former owner.

Susanna had arthritis that was a result of the atrophied growth of being kept in a box all her life. She was also ruthlessly used as a breeding dog and that further ruined her health.

However, Susanna was a fighter. She grabbed her second chance whole-heartedly and impressed everyone with her quick recovery. With rehabilitation, she was eventually able to walk on her own again! Today, she is thriving in her forever home, safe and sound from the horrors of her abusive past!
