Everyone loves to get a pet: of all races, colors, sizes and shapes! In the early days it’s all very cool, but at first mishap many humans give up on their pets, and older animals are the main victims! Today we will get to know the story of an old dog that was dumped at the vet to be euthanized!
Old dog is dumped at the vet to be euthanized – so they do what he really wanted
This dog, named Emu, had a very rough life. He was dumped at the vet to be euthanized, but fortunately the vet knew that this dog still had many years to live.
Instead of taking Emu’s life, the vet asked if he could go to the “adoption day” organized by Special Sidewalk. From there, Emu found an adoptive family, to give him much love and affection. Already living with his host family, he was taken to a veterinary center, to start his treatment process!
Emu was very nervous at first, but when he realized that these people were there to help him, he started to come out of his “shell”. Despite everything that happened, he was a very sweet and nice dog.
He loves to be attentive and just wants to love and be loved. But, adopting an older dog is not easy, let alone one that is no longer in its best form as the Emu. But his new family refused to give up!
Finally, “adoption day” arrived. His new foster family had been there all day, giving him all the love and affection he needed to feel safe!
Two months later, he had already settled in his new home and even had a new name: Nutzie! He also has a new brother, called Sahara, and the two are completely inseparable.
Emu is now a happy and healthy dog with a loving family who will always take better care of him. He had a second chance at life because of a veterinarian who believed in him! All animals like Emu deserve a second chance. Adopt, do not buy!
Watch his amazing transformation in the video below. It is hard to believe he is really the same dog! Emu went from a street dog to a beautiful pet, who does not stop wagging his tail or smiling:
