Old and blind Pit Bull waits a lifetime to be rescued

Duncan, a 12-year-old Pit Bull, was in a junkyard after years of wandering around. An employee noticed the old dog and soon realized that, besides being in poor condition, the animal was blind. Then the woman decided to call Hope for Paws to come and rescue the old dog. Too weak, Duncan couldn’t resist, despite his stress, when they passed a collar around his neck.

Soon they could observe the worrying condition the dog was. The animal was dehydrated, had several skin diseases, ulcers and two tumors. To some extent, it was recommended to end their suffering, but their saviors refused to give up.

The rescuers contacted another organization, the Frosted Faces Foundation, which specializes in the care of elderly dogs. Despite his health problems, the little dog seemed happy to have finally found loving people.

Duncan was redirected to a foster family where he was welcomed with arms wide open. We don’t know how much longer he will be among us… However, his last days will be full of attention, love and affection!
