December 17th of 2016 was very special for Matthew and Lyndsay Brentlinger. On that date, they became parents of two beautiful twins named William and Reagan. Right away, the children became the most important thing to the Brentlinger family. But, suddenly, a tragedy happened: the doctors gave only 1 week of life to the boy! Then, in memory of their newborn twin, the parents decided to do a moving photo shoot.
From the moment they were born, the babies were already loved. So the news that William had fatal heart disease left Matthew and Lyndsay heartbroken. The condition was so serious that the doctors knew they could not help at all. Unfortunately, the newborn would have been little more than a week to live.
The couple was very sad after hearing of William’s fatal heart condition, but they wanted to enjoy the remaining time in the best way. They contacted a photographer to capture William with the rest of the family, so that he would be remembered for a long time.
When Lindsey Brown answered the phone, the Brentlingers asked if she would be able to photograph the family for the first and last time. Just two days after contacting Lindsey, the Brentlingers met with the artist and posed for a photo shoot.
Although they knew they were going to lose William soon, capturing the beauty of Reagan and William together was a truly unforgettable moment. Due to abnormalities in his heart, the boy would leave the family within a few days. However, the possibility of taking those pictures helped the family to deal with the loss of the child.
The images reflect a beautiful moment between the family. The darkness of knowing that William would no longer be with them soon is present in the photos. However, the beauty of love overcame that feeling. What Lindsey Brown was able to capture, that feeling of affection, will certainly persist even after William departs.
Although the baby will leave early, the family appreciated the time they had with the twin. The photos will always help Lyndsay, Matthew and Reagan keep William in their thoughts for years to come.
Share to wish the family a lot of strength!
