Marine gets deployed to a new location and his dog travels 70 miles to find him again

In all corners of the world, sadly, there are thousands of dogs wandering the streets. Many travelers do what they can and what laws allow. However, often this is a difficult battle and these animals are left behind.

Today we’ll meet the story of a dog that refused to be left behind by a man he truly loved. When Marine Major Brian Dennis was in Iraq, he found a stray dog that stole his heart.

The dog was called “Nubs” and the two became best friends. They spent some time together and developed a really special bond … But unfortunately, Major Dennis received new orders and had to move away.

Dennis was moved more than 70 miles away and had to say goodbye to his four-legged friend. While driving in the truck, Nubs could be seen behind, chasing the vehicle. The vision was heartbreaking.

Dennis knew he would never see the dog again …

Then a comrade arrived near Major Dennis, with a smile on his face, saying that he had a special visitor. It was Nubs! He made a journey of 70 miles to find his best friend!

Major Dennis decided that he would do everything in his power to adopt the dog so that they would never separate again. His story is beautiful and there is already a book that tells their incredible journey together.
