Man helps animals with disabilities – has already made prosthetics for 25,000 animals

Derrick Campana, a doctor who specializes in dental prostheses, began his career building medical prostheses for veterans. So when he was approached by a veterinarian to prosthetise a dog, Derrick was not so sure of his abilities.

He fought his doubts and successfully made a prosthetic for a needy dog. It was when he realized that there were not many people to help these poor creatures who needed prosthetic limbs.

With a determination of steel, Derrick created the “Animal Ortho Care”. For the sole purpose of bringing mobility into the lives of the unfortunate animals, and giving them another chance in life.

Derrick’s patients include a wide variety of animals. Some are born with disabilities while others lose their limbs due to injury or illness. Derrick makes tailor-made limbs according to the walking needs and body type of these animals.

Derrick thinks the best part of his profession is to be able to see the vibrant smiles on the faces of these animals. Today, it has changed the lives of more than 25,000 animals, with more than 200 new cases arriving each month.

Derrick wants more and more people to be aware of prosthetics and orthodontic services for pets. That way, many pets can be saved from being sacrificed without having a fighting chance. We hope Derrick’s noble efforts reach people everywhere.
