Kitten runs away from home to attend funeral of girl who saved her life

Opera is a beautiful kitten who, for years, had to live with the ravages of the street. Her life changed when a little girl of only 3-years-old met her and begged her mother to take her home.

Luzia Aparecida Alencar didn’t plan to have a pet, but she knew it was a great opportunity to teach her daughter the importance of helping others.

They took her to the vet and in a few days, the beautiful furry girl got used to her new home. She got along well with everyone but was always especially affectionate with little Julia.

Unfortunately, the family suffered an unthinkable tragedy. Julia and her mother were traveling and the bus they were on lost control of the brakes. Eight of the thirty passengers on board lost their lives, including Julia and her mother.

The accident caused a lot of sadness for everyone at home.

The kitten was still receiving care from other family members but seemed to suspect that something bad had happened.

“They are very intuitive and understand everything. They are one of the few beings capable of feeling such sincere gratitude”, Commented one internet user.

Opera was very restless and constantly ran away from home. Finally, when the day of the wake arrived, she surprised everyone. When they arrived at the funeral home, they realized that Opera had hidden in the car .

Somehow he seemed to understand everything and went into the room where they were caring for his owner. There she sat for a few hours as if she were just another human being in her difficult stage of mourning.

“Pure love. The kitten just needed to understand what had happened. She understood,” Commented a user of the networks.

At first, they thought they should not leave the kitten there. However, Opera was a member of the family and deserved the opportunity to say goodbye to the sweet little girl who saved her life.

From that day on, things improved at home. Opera stopped running away and seemed much calmer.

Many people say that animals don’t have feelings, but the truth is that the furry ones never stop surprising us. Opera had a very special bond with that girl and she needed to say goodbye somehow. We are sorry for this terrible accident and join Julia and Luzia’s family in these painful moments.
