Firefighter rescues baby kangaroo in Australian fire and begs for donations

An Instagram-famous model and firefighter has filmed the moment he rescued a baby kangaroo from flames while begging followers for donations.

The volunteer firefighter immediately got to work extinguishing spot fires and managed to rescue orphaned kangaroo hiding from encroaching flames under a log.

He wrapped him in a blanket and took him to the vet, but urged social media followers to donate to injured wildlife.

Mr McGlone issued a desperate plea on social media for donations.

“Australia is on fire! 500 million animals have been killed,” he wrote.

“I saved this little baby kangaroo it was left by its self! This is heartbreaking. 10 Million acres burned. Please spread. Please donate. We need your help.”
