Tartar is the bacterial plaque calcified on the teeth. It is made of calcium and phosphate which, when deposited on the teeth, give hard consistency to the plaque. If not eliminated, it can give rise to inflammation in the gums, known as periodontitis.

1. Remove with a toothpick
Ingredients
  1. Toothbrush.
  2. Half a teaspoon of salt.
  3. Half a cup of warm water.
  4. A cup of hydrogen peroxide.
  5. A toothpick.
  6. Sodium bicarbonate.
  7. Antiseptic mouthwash
What to do

Mix the baking soda with salt and a little water. Brush your teeth thoroughly with this mixture and spit out the rest. After that, mix the hydrogen peroxide with plain water and wash the mouth with normal water. Then, remove the tartar with the toothpick… it will be eliminated in an instant! At the end, wash your mouth with the mouthwash.

2. Use fruit

Rub the areas where you have tartar with lemon peel or half a strawberry for 10 minutes. The acid from the fruits will soften the plate so you can remove it with the toothbrush.

3. Yeast technique

Dissolve a little yeast (which has baking soda) in water. Then brush your teeth with this mixture. Apart from removing tartar, the technique will also whiten your teeth!

4. Tea tree oil

A few drops of this oil mixed with a little water to brush your teeth will eliminate the tartar and keep it from coming back.

Don’t forget to floss and mouthwash after washing your teeth to prevent tartar. Also, eat apples between meals, drink green tea or chew gum with xylitol to fight off bacteria. Try our tips and say what you think about them in the comments!
