Trophy hunters break into reserve to kill rhinos and end up being eaten by lions

For years, African countries have joined several campaigns to protect the lives of rhinoceroses, which are in risk of extinction. However, some cruel people ignore the request for attention and continue in illegal activities, such as poaching.

In South Africa, a group of hunters received a spoonful of their own medicine. The incident occurred in Sibuya, a wildlife reserve in southern Africa.

The men were following in the footsteps of a group of rhinos…

However, the hunters did not expect a bunch of lions to be around and the result was fatal. In fact, authorities are still not sure how many people have been attacked, but it is estimated to be three.

The owner of the private reserve posted on Facebook what happened in Sibuya…

Nick Fox, the owner, wrote that one of the workers noticed the presence of human remains. They were accompanied by guns, silencers, axes and food supplies, with the obvious intent of hunting the rhinos.

These are some of the lions that attacked the hunters:

“Whilst we are saddened at any loss of life the poachers came here to kill our animals and this sends out a very clear message to any other poachers that you will not always be the winner,,” said Nick Fox, the Reserve Owner.

Hopefully, activities like hunting will stop as soon as possible and we can continue to enjoy the species that are now in danger.

Report the poaching, don’t let more animals lose their lives!
