Deuce, the puppy is missing his both front legs, but he doesn’t know that.
He can still get around on his own and play with other dogs.
Deuce’s previous owner took him to a Texas shelter to be sacrificed, just because he was short of legs. He didn’t want to give him a chance, but luckily he was rescued by the Evergreen Animal Protection League.
Melissa and Ken Rogers, founders of the Colorado Comfort Canines, have decided to open their arms and home to Deuce and adopt him!
The Rogers already have a ten-year-old dog named KanDu.
“Most of the time, dogs like this don’t leave where they were born. They are simply discarded, ignored and not adopted, ”said Rogers.
Fortunately, there were many people who were willing to give Deuce a chance. He quickly proved to them that it was worth it, and he not only fit well into his new home, but was also thriving.
Since then it has also been fitted with a custom wheelchair!
