Miss Willie is a little dog who spent more than a decade chained to a tree. For 12 years, she never knew what it was to be loved, but fortunately, PETA came on the scene to rescue this poor girl. The rescue team managed to persuade the owner to hand over Miss Willie, so she could live the rest of her life in a dignified way.

Miss Willie had a short life. So the volunteers quickly made a bucket list, which included a trip to the beach, a ride on a fire engine, a birthday party, pizza night, a canoe ride, or even a relaxing day at the spa.

The loving dog had fun for the first time and enjoyed the comfort of her first bed!

It was not the first time that PETA saw Miss Willie
The volunteers have been attentive for the past 10 years, begging her owner to surrender her, but he always refused. However, the rescue team made sure the little one was fed and wasn’t cold.

The poor girl suffered from heartworm disease, lung tumors and other health problems. Fortunately, she was eventually rescued and her last days on earth were memorable.

After a chained life, she received love for the first time!

Unfortunately, Miss Willie died 16 days after her rescue, surrounded by caring people. Watch the video below so you don’t miss the details of this emotional story:
