Dog’s lover Misha Rackcliff Hunt, 27, gave a second chance to a Dalmatian dog that became the new center of her life.
In a few months, Emma Roo became the great love of Misha, who adopted her on April 26th of this year and can’t help but be surprised by the sad story of the dog.
Misha and Emma now form a great team and fight to leave all evil behind.
This Dalmatian is one of the thousands of dogs that live a real nightmare in dog meat slaughterhouses in China.
Emma was rescued when she was approximately 8-weeks-old when the heartless dealers amputated her front paws. Emma’s ears and part of her tail suffered the same fate.
This brave little creature overcame much pain and struggled to survive.
At the time of the rescue, she was sent to a veterinary center in Beijing, where doctors discovered a defect in one of her hind legs.
For the experts, the lack of Emma’s fingers may have been the reason why the butchers discarded her. For them, the dog was not suitable for consumption or as a pet.
This failure gave Emma enough days to live before she was rescued.
After two years passing through different centers, Dalmatia came to a non-profit organization based in South Florida.
Dalmatian Rescue was in charge of reuniting Emma and Misha after the woman saw her hair on the organization’s website.
“I remember seeing Emma for the first time online – she has the most human amber eyes. I didn’t even think about logistics. I knew that this dog was sent to me for a reason,” said Misha.
This dog arrived in the United States a few weeks before the country went into quarantine for COVID-19, and is now struggling to adjust her home.
Emma went around the world to find true happiness.
Misha revealed that she’s quite scared. She is scared by the noise of machines or chainsaws, as well as some men but are working together to overcome their traumas.
“She can be cautious with men too, so I chose a masseuse who loves to see weekly. Her behavior has really changed,” he said.
Misha’s career began a few months ago to improve Emma’s quality of life and she not only filled it with love but also sought ways for the hairy girl to recover from her pain.
Come on honey, you can recover!
Through Joey’s PAW organization, of which the woman is now an ambassador, she was able to get in touch with Bionic Pets, who provided her with a custom-made prosthesis.
In addition, thanks to an online fundraising campaign, thousands of people were touched by the story and helped this Dalmatian get a chair to move around without pain.
Emma’s recovery continues, as the adaptation to her prosthesis and cart has not been easy, but this Dalmatian continues to give her everything.
With much effort, he managed to take small steps.
Misha takes Emma weekly to a local dog pool, where she receives hydrotherapy and massages that help her release back muscle tension. Although the road is still long, we are sure that the worst is over for this defenseless dog whose story will now be much happier.
The ambition of some people has no limits, but the love of others can prevent the most terrible acts of evil.
Share Emma’s story and send her all your encouragement as she adjusts to her new life.
