Burnt and tangled, this street dog didn’t believe anyone wanted to hug her

Many animals suffer daily from the irresponsible decisions of their owners. Many of them are exposed to precarious situations, to which they can not defend themselves. That’s how a little dog lived after being abandoned.

Loreta Frankonyte and Eldad Hagar are members of Hope For Paws, located in California, United States. When they learned of Alice’s story, a Poddle who lived on the streets, they didn’t hesitate to help.

Alice was in bad shape

The poor girl was abandoned by her humans, and from that moment she had to fight every day for some food. Unfortunately, she accidentally consumed an acid, getting terrible burns on her mouth and face.

Some people gave her food… However, due to her health, Alice couldn’t eat properly.

Besides the burns, Alice was malnourished and covered with ticks. During the rescue, the little dog was very frightened, but allowed to be touched.

Already at the shelter, she was immediately treated by a veterinarian. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with a heart murmur, anemia, and corneal ulcers.

Fortunately, Alice was given proper care and was treated with great supervision. Loreta was with her throughout the process, giving her all the love she needed. In addition, the woman made the decision to take her home with her two pets, Bonnie and Coco.

“Alice, she lived great times in her foster home. Loreta cooked for her, treated her skin with coconut oil, and gave her lots of love,” Eldad said.

After two months, Loreta and Eldad had to leave the city. So Alice was left with Chris and Michele Gentry, Loreta’s friends. The beautiful girl was so sweet and affectionate, that the couple wanted to adopt her officially.

Alice is currently in good health. She loves her owners and her new sister!
