Bride orders dress for her dog to wear on the wedding as a bridesmaid

Jennifer Hindieh and her boyfriend adopted Bailey at an animal shelter, in New York, when she was 5 months old.

Since then, she has been the third official member of the family. And her mother’s best friend.

When Jennifer decided to marry seven years later, she knew Bailey should attend the ceremony in the best possible way.

“We got engaged October 31 of 2018,” She said. “It was very low-key — at home in the morning with Bailey on my lap while I was drinking coffee. Then he asked and I immediately shouted ‘yes’!”

From the beginning, the couple knew they wanted Bailey to be a part of their wedding. She has always been a present daughter in their lives, so it would be more than deserved the small girl’s participation in the ceremony.

Besides, being a very sociable dog, Bailey could make dozens of new friendships with the wedding guests.

“She’s very kind, whenever she sees someone, lick that person until she can not!” Says Jennifer.

Jennifer decided that in order to get Bailey involved in the ceremony, she would make her walk to the pulpit with her father as a sort of bridesmaid.

When she went to buy her dress, the girl realized that her helper would also need a dress to match the responsibility …

So she decided to make Bailey a dress!

The dog is already used to dressing up, especially in winter, when temperatures usually drop a lot – so putting on the dress was not a problem.

And, let’s face it, the dress fit beautifully on her … It was super cute!

“I decided to get her a dress because honestly, she is my family, my baby and our life with her is what makes every day so special,” Jennifer said. “I don’t know if I can ever have kids, but for me, she’s like my kid.”

The bride will marry a private ceremony in September and can hardly wait to share that special day with Bailey. The couple also had a wedding cake just for the dog.

Hindieh and her fiancé are getting married in September, and can’t wait to share their special day with Bailey. They’re even having a mini dog-safe cake made especially for her — so they don’t expect her dress to stay clean for very long!
