If we were all more attentive to the people around us, the world would be a much better place. This story about an attempted kidnapping, and an anonymous woman who stepped in at the right time, is an excellent example of this. She could have continued driving when she saw that something suspicious was happening on a street in Santa Ana, California. However, the stranger stopped the car and ended up saving a girl who was being kidnapped.
Woman acts immediately
The woman had just left her child in school when something caught her eye. A woman was dragging a girl on a sidewalk near the school. The girl, 12-year-old Amy Martinez, was screaming and trying to escape.
Upon seeing the suspicious scene, the good Samaritan did something that not everyone would do: she stopped the car. It was not long before she, who wanted to remain anonymous, realized that it was an attempted abduction. The kidnapper was Claudia Hernandez Diaz, 34. Upon seeing Amy’s distress, the stranger pretended to be the girl’s mother, and asked if she was all right. This startled the kidnapper immediately.
“I’ll never forget the way she looked at me,” the woman said, regarding Amy. “Her eyes screamed for help.” The child says she was going to school when a woman approached her and began grabbed her. While doing this, she said in Spanish “don’t cry”, “the demons are coming.” “Satan is here.”
Amy was terrified and asked for help. It was then that the good Samaritan woman came to her aid. Without the woman’s quick thinking, and her maternal instinct, the story could have ended differently.

Let’s share to honor the good Samaritan woman and thank her for Amy’s rescue! We hope she will serve as an example and inspire others to do the same.
