6-year-old boy saves his little sister from a dog attack

Six-year-old Bridger from Cheyenne, Wyoming is recognized as a hero for saving his little sister from a dog attack.

When the animal approached him, he didn’t hesitate to protect his sister to avoid hurting her.

Nikki Walker, the aunt of the minor, published the child’s courageous act in the nets, generating a wave of reactions:

My nephew is a hero who saved his little sister from a puppy who attacked them. He took the attack himself so that the dog would do nothing to his sister. When asked why he did it, he replied, ‘If anyone was going to die, I thought it should be me.'”

The 6-year-old boy was attacked by the dog and was immediately transferred to the hospital to heal his injuries, mainly to his face.

The boy’s aunt told:

“After being bit in the face and head several times, he grabbed his sister’s hand and ran with her to keep her safe. After receiving approximately 90 stitches from a qualified plastic surgeon, he is finally recovering at home. We love our brave son.”

Nikki wants his publication to be released, he goes to the networks to ask for help and thus fulfill his nephew’s dream of receiving the greetings of some actor from Marvel’s superhero productions.

The boy’s aunt marked Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Tom Hiddleston, Chadwick Boseman, Vin Diesel, and Chris Evan.

She hopes her message reaches one of the Avengers’ actors who would be admired for Bridger’s courageous performance.

Nikki’s post had thousands of reactions, she spoke recently to say that her nephew’s wounds are healing.

“His wounds look much better, he has a great happy spirit and his incredible personality is intact,” she said.

“He still can’t smile much, but he was smiling when I read some of his comments to him. I want to mention here that dog owners are great people who were very kind to Bridger and our whole family, we didn’t feel resentment towards them and, anyway, it only improved our families’ relationship after the incident.”

Some network users asked Nikki to create a fundraising campaign at GoFundMe to help the family pay for the child’s recovery. She asked everyone to collaborate with foundations like Mission 22 or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Bridger likes geology, his aunt asked his followers to send him photos of cold rocks they see.

In a final update, Nikki thanked all those who expressed their admiration for the child and were touched by the case.

“I’m trying to get as many messages as possible, but this could take a long time. For those who asked how to send stones to Bridger, he offered the address: Bridger Walker, PO Box 22141, Cheyenne, WY 82003.”

Hey, all. Please, share my nephew’s story so that it gets as much exposure as it can. We know that our little hero would love some words of encouragement from his favorite heroes. On July 9th, my six year old nephew Bridger saved his little sister’s life by standing between her and a charging dog. After getting bit several times on the face and head, he grabbed his sister’s hand and ran with her to keep her safe. He later said, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.” After receiving 90 stitches (give or take) from a skilled plastic surgeon, he’s finally resting at home. We love our brave boy and want all the other superheroes to know about this latest hero who joined their ranks. @tomholland2013 @chrishemsworth @robertdowneyjr @markruffalo @prattprattpratt @twhiddleston @chadwickboseman @vindiesel @chrisevans EDIT: I just finished visiting with Bridger at his home. His wounds are looking so much better! He’s in great spirits, and his awesome personality is intact. He can’t smile too widely yet, but he was grinning as I read some of your comments to him. I’d also like to mention here that the dog’s owners are really great people who have been nothing but kind to Bridger and his family. We feel no resentment toward them at all, and—if anything—there’s only been an increase of love between our families as a result of this incident. EDIT 2: Once again we’re blown away by the amazing comments and messages that Bridger’s receiving. I’ve had lots of inquiries about a GoFundMe. Bridger’s family has asked that any one wishing to help out financially can, instead, donate to @mission_22 or @wwp. Bridger is also a huge fan of Science, especially Geology. So I’m going to start a post where people can share with him pictures of cool rocks that they see. EDIT 3: Once again, everyone’s kindness has meant so much to us. I’m trying to get to all of the messages that I can, but it may take some time. For those who have inquired about sending Bridger some rocks, here’s the address to use: Bridger Walker P.O. Box 22141 Cheyenne, WY 82003 #BridgerStrong

Actor Mark Ruffalo , who played the Hulk in the Avengers’ film “Age of Ultron” in 2015, commented in Nikki’s post.

Dear Bridger, I just read about what happened to you and wanted to talk about it… The people who put others to safety by sacrificing themselves are the most heroic and thoughtful people I know. I really respect and admire your courage and your heart. True courage is not dominating people, fighting them, or walking like a tough guy. True courage is knowing what is right to do and doing it, even when you may end up hurting them in some way. You are more of a man than many, many that I have seen or known. With admiration… Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner / Hulk / Professor) “

This boy has won everyone’s admiration, his instinct for protection and empathy is really exciting. This is why she receives many demonstrations of support and love, she shares her act of courage.
